WNY Hockey is a regional directory of rinks, organizations, coaches, businesses and events in Western New York and the Rochester, NY area. This page explains what information we collect through the site and what we do with it.

This is a plain-language summary written by the people who run the site, not a law firm. If you need this reviewed for a specific legal question, talk to a lawyer — this page is a starting point, not legal advice.

Directory data: names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, descriptions, and photos for rinks, organizations, businesses, coaches and similar listings. This comes from public sources (an organization's own website or social media, business registries, local news) and is cross-checked against at least two independent sources before publishing. If you run one of these and want something corrected, see "Your choices" below.

Form submissions: if you claim a listing, sign up, post to the community board or marketplace, or report a problem, we collect whatever you type into that form — typically a name, email, phone number, and the content of your message. A person reviews these; they are not automatically published.

Basic technical data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, timestamps) for security and to understand how the site is used.

We do not sell contact information to third parties.

We do not run ad networks that track you across other sites.

We do not ask for or store financial information, passwords, or government ID numbers anywhere on this site.

Directory data is published to help families and players find real, current hockey resources in the region.

Form submissions are used to respond to your request — claiming a listing, following up on a report, or reviewing a community/marketplace post before it goes live.

Technical logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and understanding aggregate site usage. We don't use them to build individual profiles for advertising.

If you run an organization, business, or are an individual (coach, official, etc.) listed here and want information corrected, updated, or removed, use the "Report a problem" link on the relevant listing, or email us directly. We act on legitimate correction and removal requests.

If you submitted a form and want that submission deleted, email us with what you submitted and when, and we'll remove it.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page and change the date below.
